Get ready to join

About five minutes, once. The server checks your mods when you connect, so the versions need to match.

    Install BepInEx

    Download BepInExPack for Valheim. Copy what's inside its BepInExPack_Valheim folder into your Valheim folder. In Steam: right-click Valheim, Manage, Browse local files.

    Add the mods

    Download each mod in the list below and drop its files into BepInEx/plugins.

    Add the Auto Feed config

    Download vanbushi.AutoFeed.cfg into BepInEx/config so animals feed the same way for everyone.

    Connect

    Start Game, pick a character, Join Game. Add the address above and connect. If a mod doesn't match, a window tells you which one.

Required mods

Installed on the server. You need the same version of each.

    Nice to have

    These only change your own game. Add any you like, or none.

      If something goes wrong

      A window says my mods don't match the server

      It lists each mod that's missing or on the wrong version. Download the version shown in the list above, replace the old file in BepInEx/plugins, and connect again.

      The server has a red X in my server list

      That's the game's status check, not the connection. Click refresh, or just connect. If this page says the server is online, it is.

      I can't connect at all

      Check the status at the top of this page. If it's online, make sure you included :2456 at the end of the address, and that a black BepInEx console window opens when the game starts. No console window means BepInEx isn't in the right folder.

      Animals aren't eating from the chest

      Use a regular chest within 10 metres of the pen, with food the animal eats. Boars like raspberries, blueberries, mushrooms and carrots. Animals only eat when they're hungry, a few in-game minutes after their last meal.
